No one was more quintessentially Parisian than Yves Saint Laurent -

While Pierre Bergé has just disappeared, it is the special hotel of avenue marceau which has always sheltered the house and the couture salons Yves Saint Laurent which is transformed into a museum.

More than a museum, we tried to revive the working atmosphere and the spirit of Yves Saint Laurent disappeared in 2008.

This is the first time a museum has been dedicated to a designer in France.

YSL three letters synonymous now with luxury anf glamour.

In order to preserve and ensure the visibility of the work of the designer, from 1964 Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent Made the choice to set up a fund of some 35.000 pieces today (drawings, textiles, accessories...) No other equivalent in the middle of fashion.

If the museum's ground floor is dynamic and modern, offering sketches, prototypes, videos, photos in black and white, the floor is more ceremonial, or even a little too empesé.

The Mythical Studio, a central location that beats the heart of the sewing house, is a vast, clear and muted neutral space, contrasting with the luxury of the lounges.

We dreamed of getting into this famous laboratory bubbling of sketches, samples, colored pencils, sewing figures, collections of collections, patrons, cloths, but also photos, letters and records. It's probably the most interesting and moving room in the museum. It also hits us by its simplicity.

Next year the journey will be complemented by temporary thematic exhibitions.

Conclusion: the museum is not very large, the journey is fast. We're getting a little frustrated. It is possible to miss a very optimal circulation as a whole and especially between the DRC AND THE 1st floor, waiting in the middle of the stairs to watch a film is aberrant.

But The Mastery of the know-how of this genius who has been able to reinterpret the female dressing room with women in their emancipation strikes you.

The Magic and the dream are catching up.
